Our Teachers
Ivy Hill Teachers are chosen carefully and mentored continually. Lead teachers are all degreed or credentialed. Our teachers are true professionals. They believe in providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. They are the foundation of Ivy Hill Preschool. All teachers have had criminal background checks and healthchecks. Our entire staff is First Aid and CPR trained.
Erin Hawley
Erin is our Director here at Ivy Hill. She is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a degree in Early Childhood. She is married and the mother of a son named Marty. She is CPR, and First Aid certified. Erin helped raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. She has worked at Ivy Hill since June 2011 and is a long time resident of Rumson.
Iwona Marczak
Iwona is the lead teacher in our Toddler Room. She is a certified Midwife from Poland since 2007. She is CPR, and First Aid certified. She has worked at Ivy Hill since June 2016 and is a long time resident of Leonardo. Iwona is married to Chris and is the mother of Dan and Gabby
Denise Geyer
Marleigh Velba
Denise is the lead teacher in our Preschool Class. Denise has her CDA certification. She is CPR and First Aid certified. She has worked at Ivy Hill since May 2020. She is the mother of a son Robert and daughter Jessica.
Marleigh is the lead teacher in our PreK class. She received her teaching degree from Rowan University and has a master's degree from Marygrove College. She has taught in grades ranging from Preschool all the way up to Sixth for 25 years but Preschool has her heart. Marleigh and her boyfriend have 8 adorable rescue cats at home. She truly loves the small, family environment at Ivy Hill.
